Advanced Eye Care at Surrey Family Vets

We provide a comprehensive ophthalmology service for dogs and cats, led by Natalia Wiktoria Hebda PGCertSAOpthal.

We accept referrals from veterinary practices across Surrey and the surrounding areas for the investigation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of eye conditions. 

Eye disease can significantly affect a pet’s comfort, vision and quality of life. Our aim is to provide thorough, compassionate and practical ophthalmic care using advanced diagnostic equipment and a collaborative approach with both owners and referring vets.

About Natalia

Natalia is a veterinary surgeon with a particular interest in ophthalmology and holds the Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Ophthalmology (PGCertSAOphthal). 

Alongside her work as Practice Owner at Surrey Family Vets, she provides dedicated ophthalmology consultations for both first opinion and referral cases. 

Natalia Wiktoria Hebda PGCertSAOpthal is passionate about preserving vision, relieving discomfort and improving quality of life for pets with eye disease. She works closely with referring practices to ensure continuity of care and clear communication throughout the referral process. 

Diagnostic Equipment & Procedures

Our ophthalmology service includes advanced diagnostic equipment to allow detailed examination of the eyes and surrounding structures, including: 

  • Slit lamp biomicroscopy 
  • Direct and indirect ophthalmoscopy 
  • Tonometry (measurement of intraocular pressure) 
  • Tear production testing 
  • Fluorescein staining 
  • Ophthalmic surgical instrumentation 

Consultations include a detailed ocular examination, vision assessment and discussion of treatment options and prognosis.

  • Entropion surgery

We are happy to accept referrals from veterinary surgeons for ophthalmology cases.

Do Owners Need to Be Registered with Surrey Family Vets?

No. Patients do not need to be registered with Surrey Family Vets for us to see them as ophthalmology referrals. 

We are pleased to work alongside local veterinary practices to provide additional ophthalmic support where needed.
